मुंबई :माजी नगरपाल डॉ. जगन्नाथराव हेगडे यांच्या पुढाकाराने मुंबईत कोरोना ग्रस्तांसाठी मदतकार्य राबविण्यात आले. या कामी लायन्स क्लब ऑफ मिड टाऊनचेही सहकार्य मिळाले. मुंबईच्या विविध भागात तसेच पोलिस आणि आरोग्य सेवकांसाठी आवश्यक त्या संरक्षण वस्तू तसेच जीवनावश्यक वस्तूंचे वाटप करण्यात आले. वेगवेगळ्या भागात फिरून त्यांनी लोकांशी संवाद साधला तसेच त्यांच्या अडचणी समजून त्यासाठी आवश्यक ते सहकार्य दिले. यावेळी लायन्स क्लबचे पदाधिकारीदेखील त्यांच्यासमवेत होते. यापुढील काळात देखील हे मदतकार्य सुरूच राहिल, असा विश्वास डॉ. जगन्नाथऱाव हेगडे यांनी दिला आहे.
